Kegiatan Tapak Tilas dan Lintas Alam oleh Penggalang Gugus Depan 09.79-09.80 SMP Negeri Satu Atap Pematang Manggis dilaksanakan dalam rangka Tes Kenaikan Tingkat Penggalang Rakit. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan apel pagi dan doa bersama pada pukul 07:30 WIB dan diakhiri dengan kegiatan pemberian materi dan Operasi Semut pukul 15.30 WIB.
Adapun rute perjalanan Tapak Tilas dan Lintas Alam tersebut dari Pangkalan/Ds. Pematang Manggis menuju Ds. Kerubung Jaya hingga kembali menempuh perjalanan +/- 15 Km. Kegiatan di pandu oleh kakak pembina dan panitia dari SMK al-Multazam asuhan Kak Exellino Geofany, dkk. melintasi medan berlumpur dan berair. Selama perjalanan melintasi alam tersebut, sebanyak 24 orang peserta akan melewati beberapa pos. Yang mana di setiap pos diberikan beberapa tes yang telah dipersiapkan, seperti: Sandi-sandi, Semapore, Morse, Tali Temali, PBB dan Game.
Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya menambah dan memperluas pengalaman dan cara pertahanan diri di saat tersesat. Mereka (Peserta Penggalang, red) siap siaga dan siap mental dalam menghadapi kondisi apapun. “Anak Pramuka tidak takut kotor!!” ujar mereka sebagai bukti di saat tiarap di genangan lumpur dan menceburkan diri ke sungai, namun tetap di awasi ketat oleh kakak panitia.
