Siapa sih yang gak bahagia dan berdebar ketika pertama kali menginjakkan kaki di halaman sekolah baru dan pakai seragam baru? So pasti kamu kaaaan… yup benar. Dengan luahan rasa bahagia dan bangga tentunya, sebab kamu bisa menjadi bagian dari Keluarga Besar SMP Negeri Satu Atap Pematang Manggis, yang Insyaallah akan menyajikan program-program ke-siswa-an yang up to date dan booming saat ini.
Kegiatan Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah yang disingkat dengan MPLS ini, dibuka secara langsung oleh Ibu Kepala Sekolah yang di dampingi oleh beberapa Majelis Guru. Kegiatan ini akan berlangsung selama 3 hari untuk kelas 7, namun tetap melibatkan siswa kelas 8 dan 9 agar suasana lebih hangat dan semangat. Dalam sambutannya Kepala Sekolah menjelaskan bahwa, kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara indoor maupun outdoor, serta diharapkan agar para siswa baru segera mampu menyesuaikan diri dan ber-interaksi terhadap lingkungan yang baru, termasuk juga dengan teman dan guru baru. Menumbuhkan rasa cinta terhadap almamater, juga terhadap tanah air dan bangsa. Mempertebal rasa kasih sayang, tanggung jawab, mandiri, dan ber-Profil Pancasila.
