Hari Pendidikan Nasional 2 Mei 2023 diperingati dengan melaksanakan upacara bendera di lapangan SMP Negeri Satu Atap Pematang Manggis. Bertindak sebagai Pembina Upacara Ibu Dwi Maryuni, S, Pd. dan pelaksana upacara yaitu OSIS. Sementara itu Kepala Sekolah Ibu Susilawati, M.Pd. mengikuti upacara di lapangan Kantor Camat Kecamatan Batang Cenaku.
Pada kesempatan itu juga selesai upacara merupakan waktu yang tepat untuk Halal bi halal saling memaafkan antar sesama warga sekolah. Selain masih di bulan Syawal dan juga merupakan hari pertama masuk sekolah setelah libur seputar hari raya Idul Fitri 1444 H.
